I planted corn this year for the first time in many years. I am worried about raccoons. What are your successful ways to keep them away from ripening ears?

Electric fence that is maintained is surest I reckon.

Agree that fencing that they can't climb or is electrified is the only thing I have ever found that works. We live trap and transplant at least 10 raccoons each year and still don't get them all.

If they find it they will get it.

And they know exactly when it's ready! :(

Some dogs will chase racoons away, if they are allowed to be out at night. And if it is safe for the dogs to be out. (Where I live, it is not really safe to leave a single dog out at night).
