I have a pepper plant that is riddled with holes and a pumpkin sprout that I woke up to with the same kind of holes. I feel like it's probably slugs or caterpillars, but I wanted to see if anyone else had this issue. I also have tomatoes growing and that plant looks fine.

Everything I planted directly had little slug holes. If you have a pool that uses DE, you can use some DE under the plants. It's like microscopic shells or something, it supposedly scratches them all up and kills them. This year I just sprinkled sand from my son's sandbox under some of my butternut seedlings. It seemed to do the trick.

I may try that. It didn't look like slugs to me, but that may be it. I have seen massive slugs around the house at night. I've heard sand is an easy fix. Thanks for the info.
