Soluble fertilizer and heavy rain

I applied some liquid soluble fertilizer when transplanting eggplant 4 days ago. I surface-applied it and watered it in briefly. The soil is a moderately well-drained loam that has been amended over the years with lots of compost, but it has also been planted to high densities in the last few years and I noticed plants responding positively to nitrogen fertilization last summer.

In my defense, the forecast was for "cloudy with some sun", not for four inches of rain. The soil was already quite moist at the time I fertilized, and the rootballs are about 8-10" below the surface (big, leggy plants).

I was just wondering if the 4" of rain would be enough to leach away everything I applied, given the soil type and the fact that the soil was already moist before the rain. Is there a way to estimate this?
