| Hi...I am a little confused about these turnip seeds. Are they strictly a cool weather crop (I live in Zone 8b, Hollister, CA) and meant for planting only in the late spring to fall, and early spring to early summer or can I plant them now? I'm excited to try them, obviously, but the directions on Johnny's Seeds confuses me. Thanks!

| Last year, I planted them in mid September, and they did well. I didn't plant them this spring. Following website suggests to plant turnips on August and February. |

| Hakurei are known for their tender flesh and mild flavor and will lose both in high heat. I pulled all mine a couple of weeks ago as temps went from 70s-80s into the 90s. The last ones out had a mighty strong flavor. Cheers! |
