Hi everyone I need help identifying this plant. I thought I had planted Tabasco pepper seeds. These plants are growing faster than tomatoes, have yellow blooms and then these green sacks after the bloom. Just not sure what I have growing. I would appreciate any help. Thanks! Steve

It's either a tomatillo or a ground cherry. Not sure which one as I haven't grown either of them. Rodney

Thank you for the help. I believe it is a tomatillo, I believe some of the seeds I bought were packaged wrong. I am happy that they are tomatillo. Now I have to plant some Tabasco pepper seeds.

The weed ground cherries I get around here have leaves like that plant.

Our local wild ground cherries look exactly like Thirsty Dirt's photo. Check online for photos of tomatillo and ground cherry flowers, which IIRC are very different.
