My snow peas are about 6' tall!

They've never gotten this tall before. They are just starting to make pods, and lot of them bent over about 4-5' up and I'm not sure those tops will make it now. I've also never had snow peas lean towards the sun before.
Are snow peas supposed to grow that tall?

Depends on variety. Some peas can get near 8 feet tall. As long as they are bent, not broken, and are still green they might still produce. If they start to yellow or brown then cut them off.

This is something different about weather this year. I am in the same zone as you. Peas got to 4 feet tall without a single flower this year! Added 2 more feet - got 2 flowers)

My snow peas, planted in late November and harvested in April (it was a cold winter -- slowed 'em down) topped out at 6 feet. Not unusual. They were on EW trellises, and they very definitely phototroped toward the south. I found that a bit surprising. The southermost trellis somewhat shaded the northermost one, and I did get a somewhat bigger harvest from that former, better illuminated, trellis.

Thanks everyone.

We did have a ton of rain this spring.
Galinas..........mine did the same thing. They were about 4' tall with no blossoms....then after another foot or 2, they slowly put out blossoms.

What kind are they?
I bought seeds from the Burpees display at our local store, then when I got home realized I had no idea how big they were going to get. There was NOTHING on the package that even suggested a height.
I went to their website and discovered that one kind was supposed to grow to about 2 feet, and the other was supposed to be 4-6 feet. That's a big variation to not mention!

Well, formally, mine were sugar snap, and not snow peas. I often consider them equivalent, but they really aren't. Sugar snaps are sweeter. Mine were Super Sugar Snap this year. Last year they were regular Sugar Snap. Both grew to 6-foot height, just like the seed catalogs said they would. But yes, it looks like real Snow Peas aren't supposed to get that tall.

I'm not sure what they were. I sometimes use left-over ones from the year before. I think I should have supported them once they reached 4'. The ones that got bent over aren't doing so well. Every year ican be so different for all the veggies!
