It looks like a sweat bee.

I see bees with green heads similar to that in the ground. They make hills like ant hills but they are bee hills.

These could be green bees. I have had the hills in my lawn and last year there were thousands of the bees. They swarmed on my squash and cuc blossoms all summer and I had little fruit from them. They maybe considered pollinators, but they stripped the blossoms of pollen and I had very few, if any, fruit. The females and males differ in that one is all green and one has the striped body. Very similar to sweat bees but they did not sting or bite. Good luck controlling them.

There are many kinds of solitary bees. I think this is one of them.

They certainly are interesting little bees. Now I'm tempted to catch one and tie some fishing line to it so I can follow it and see where it goes.
