Agave - vegetable garden

Hi, we moved into our new property at the start of the year. I am now starting to prepare an area for my vegetable garden. In this area where my vege garden will be was a massive (over 5ft) agave Americana agave (I may have the identification slightly wrong - but giant green and yellow leaves). My husband and I chopped this out and we have had a stump grinder in to remove the stump (it was over a meter wide). The remaining dirt (ie the mulched up roots / stump) are in the vege garden - it's actually made a surprising amount of dirt. My question is - is ok to spread this over what will be the vege garden or should I bag it up and get rid of it to avoid re-establishment? The little remaining roots are about 10- 15cm in length. Thank you.
