Spider mites on eggplants

Just found one of my container eggplants completely wilted and covered in spider mites. The other eggplant in a container had a cocoon of spider mites on one leafe, so I removed it. The 2 eggplants in my garden are not thriving and it looks like spider mite damage as well with the pale spotted leaves. How do I get rid of these? Are the damaged plants hopeless?

I sprayed it with ortho bug b gone max once a week for three weeks . now I have plenty to eat.
