straight eight cucumbers

So, since wet weather in area has slowed (soil has still not completely dried), my straight eight plant has started to show a little sign of life and movement. it has grown a little bit taller and a flower or two has blossomed (yellowish looking flower), which i assume is good. My concern is the leaves are still very light green, and also that since it is still a relatively small plant, will these cucumbers that grow be small is well. Is it the word stunted i am looking for since plant hasnt grown much until now (im new to all this). What kind of cucumber will it produce if it plant hasnt really grown much in past month due to so much water? just wondering what to expect, and if i should add some liquid plant food ( 8-4-4- which i have and haven used at all lately cause of so much we weather) to help with light green leaves at this point.
i can post picture later in day if it helps to go with my description.

thanks,

mike
