I used them once, but did not brew the tonic with really warm water...too much trouble for me. The other products likely are good but rather pricey for Joe Blow. The hand mister broke almost right away.

I just use synthesized fertilizers. They cost less and work.
Start with good medium (well amended garden soil , or potting medium), provide nutrients. Plants will never know where those are coming from. If you are in hurry, use liquid, That is what I use early on. Then I sprinkle granular. I treat my veggies case by case. For leafy greens mostly I use just Nitrogen b/c all I want is lush green, fo flower, no fruits, no bolting. I find the "so-called organic" stuff way too expensive.

Both have been around for decades and have been discussed - both pro and con - many times. The search here will pull them up for you. Don't recall any rave reviews about either of them when compared to the reviews of other fertilizers available.

The Organic Gardening forum here had a big debate about it a year or so back that might still be available. Since most of its ingredients don't have to be listed on the label there is some question about if it is really organic or not. And there is always the debate about the effectiveness of foliar feeding vs. soil feeding that leads some to question its value.

Personally I think there are many other organic fertilizers available that have a much better documented track record than these two.

Just a few brand names:

Neptune's Harvest
Maxicrop
Earth Juice
Worm's Way
Espoma
Bioform
Alaska Fish
EB Stone
Foxfarm
etc.

They all make several different products.

Then if you need individual nutrients or micronutrients there is always Bat guano, Alfalfa Meal, Bloodmeal, Cottonseed Meal, Crab Meal, Greensand, etc.
