Hello,
I planted crimson sweet variety in early may, first week actually. First time growing melons. This melon was the first to appear. It is big, yellow on the bottom and sounds hollow compared to the other younger ones, but the tendril is not turning tan/brown or cracking at all. Should I give it more time?

The ground spot is white, not yellow. Let it go longer. It's important to distinguish between the yellow on the bottom caused by its nonexposure to sun, and the yellow of the ground spot indicating ripeness.
