Is this a Zucchini ?

Hi All,

I planted 5 zucchini seeds - one of the plant has a zucchini that looks like zucchini. and another one looks like the one in the picture. Is this really a zucchini ?

Yep! Congrats on the first fruit.

Yeah just a different shape. Shape is often affected by weather at the time of pollination and soil moisture levels.

There are zukes bred to be shaped like that. Could be a bit of mixed parentage in your seed packet.

There's a very round zucchini variety called eight ball. Pretty popular at the farmers markets around here. Maybe one of your plant's parents was that type.

yea. I have planted a variety that is said will bear globe shaped fruits but stripy. Mine has just starting with male flowers.
