I have 7 asparagus plants I put in 4 years ago. They produced ok, but this spring nothing came up. One has a fern growing, which I left alone.

This past fall is the first time I did not cut down the ferns. I cut them down in the spring. Was that my problem?

Will they come back next year, or should I consider replacing these plants? I'm still watering the area.

Any special treatment???
