If I'm looking at this right, it could be a squash bug. They are starting up in my area right now, too. Does it look like a stink bug with that "armour shield" on it?

Squash bug. Too long in the body and too narrow in the shoulder for stink bug.

I agree, definitely squash bug. As far as I am concerned these are the 2nd worse bugs for zucchinis behind the much worse squash vine borer. If left unchecked these can decimate your zucchini plants.

If you look at the bottom side of the leaves and see small reddish brown bumps then these are the eggs.

I killed 3 of them 2 were but to but mating i assume. I was not able to find any eggs. Ill keep my eyes out. Thanks.
