swiss chard problems

my swiss chard has cercospora leaf spot :(. this is my first time growing and i wasnt looking out for it. there were spot and some darkening of leaves, went to vist family for 5 days and came back to notice tons of spots. i am trying to cut away all the bad leaves but there are alot . some plants have both good and bad leaves. if i pull the plants can i replant in the same location or will the disease be in the soil?

if there are just a few spots on the leaves are they edible?

Ive never had this problem but found this online. It does advise crop rotation. Or you could grow them in pots next year and use a fungicide spray to prevent it from coming back. Not sure if you want to still consume the veg though. I dont think i would.
