pumpkin pollenation

Forgive me if this post is in the wrong forum. I planted a few pumpkins this year I was checking the vines and saw lots of blooms but no pumpkins. After reading a little bit about hand pollenating I went to look this morning and found all of the blooms were male except one. The female had started to produce a fruit. Is it normal for most of the blooms to be mostly male. Sorry if I took the long way to ask my question
