What and how much fertilizer have you given them? While its normal for a good amount of bushy growth before they bloom those look like too much nitrogen stimulated growth.

Not sure where you are, but I *finally* noticed the start of a few tiny blossoms on my pole beans today. I'm in Chicagoland. The long winter and cool, long spring has just slowed everything down. I don't really have any tomatoes, peppers, or cucumbers ready yet either and last year at this time, I was overflowing with them. :(

I think they're still too young to rule that you won't be getting any beans. Seems like every year I think I've done something wrong, then three days later the thing is covered with flowers.

But like Dave pointed to, if you're fertilizing them, I would stop. That way you're covering your bases without doing any harm.

I have the opposite problem. Stunted, yellowish, rusty leaves with blossoms before they should be forming. It's weird that I can grow healthy bush beans, but my pole beans are always a bust.

I also have bush beans but they are so limp and small! It has produced one bean but they are just so fragile looking I can't imagine it producing anything much!!

As for the fertilizer, I initially put in a fertilizer specific to vegetable gardens and followed package instructions with mixing fertilizer with my regular south florida soil! Hopefully it's not too much nitrogen for them! I'll post if it starts to produce any vegetables!!! Thanks for all the help everyone!
