May be : they need some food !! Or maybe, that variety shuts down when it gets too hot !! Maybe :they have done their mission.

That's what bush beans do. They produce their crop over a couple of weeks and then they are done. I have read that if you cut the plants back they will regrow and produce again but it's easier to just replant more.

They go in flushes. If you keep them picked so that no beans develop into seeds, they'll start up again.

I like to give them a side dressing of fertilizer after the first flush is done - light on the nitrogen, though. After the second flush, I find production starts to go down and a third round is less worthwhile.

I agree with the above. I've grown bush beans for three years and I find that they produce for awhile, then take a break, then start producing again for a second harvest. Giving them some fertilizer in between rounds is a good idea.

I don't use fertilizer, but lately I have found that if you water bush beans every day they well will produce over many, many weeks.
