Potato flowers turned into?? (Picture included!)

I've got Yukon Golds going in a tub and they've been doing just fine. They flowered a couple weeks ago and I let them bloom. The other day I noticed that all the blossoms have turned into... something? They look like baby tomatoes. (I know they're not tomatoes, of course, but that's what they look like.)

I'm guessing this is normal and ok and natural? Does it matter if I cut them off or let them go? And what's the correct terminology for these anyway? LOL!

They are potato seed pods (full of seeds) and are normal. Sometimes the blooms form them, sometimes they don't. But they are poison so don't let anyone try to eat them. ;)

If you search potato seed pods here or on Google you'll find lots of info on them.

I remember reading that potato plants were poisonous, so I wouldn't have risked eating them, LOL! I'd been looking for "potato flowers" but didn't know what to search for beyond that.

That's interesting. I never knew that. Do the potatoes grow better if you remove those seedpods?
