What is eating my Kale?

I'm not sure what this is but it looks like whatever is on the underside of the leaves is eating through to the front.

Do you know what is is?

Thanks
Jeff

Cabbage worm eggs that have hatched. You should see the small green caterpillars. He is the one that eats the holes. Bt dust (Dipel) takes care of them.

Thank you for the reply. I guess they are deflated egg sacks. That's what was throwing me off.

I could not find any worms however, I was looking for that.

I have the same problem, lots of little holes and leaves been eaten from the top down. Can't see the culprits. I'll try the BT. Thanks!

Just a follow up, found a little green worm (caterpillar?) on one of my Red Russian Kale plants this morning.

Just Google 'cabbage worm' for lots of pics so you'll know what to look for. They can be difficult to see until you get used o them as they are almost the exact same color of green as the leaves.

Lots of discussions here too about them and about Bt.
