Don't know if you can see bugs

What made you pull up the plant? I see a hole that might be SVB, but pulling up the plant is a drastic response.

Black and white bugs have nothing to do with SVB. Gardens are always full of bugs, and more often than not, they're no trouble.

If you still have the plant, look inside where that hole is and see you if you the larvae. If you do, kill it. It did look like a SVB gotcha ya.

I pulled it as I read about SVB and it didn't seem as if I was going to win. I can't get to the plant but now the rest are starting to show some leaf damage. I didn't get but one zuc and nothing else is in there growing. Thinking of pulling the rest dang.

Those spots on the leaves have nothing to do with SVB. First step in addressing a problem is identifying it.

That plant certainly looks like it's growing. I see several male flowers opening up. I think you should give the vines a chance.

I think it's SVB, actually, look to the right of the first picture-looks like another egg on the stem of the leaf. I hate SVBs. HATE THEM. I'm sorry they probably got you too.

Yes, the first picture does show signs of SVB, but the last picture is a different plant with different symptoms.

And even SVB isn't always fatal if you manage to cut the larva out and root the stem.

The leaf and stem are the same plant. The dirt is from the pulled plant. If it is SVB I will pull the rest. Dang guess some research would have been smart.

I have SVB in my three squash plants...it was expected and why I only planted three.

My son injected the 'hole' with BT on each plant...that was a week ago...still viable and producing fruit/flowers. By now the plants would be wilted and dying.

So, at least there is something to fight back with. We will see how long it lasts.
