I like to include flowers in my garden too! Lots of cosmos, lobelia and sweet alyssum! Also in the herb garden nasturtium has taken over again! Nancy

Zinnia flowers are quite edible, and pretty good. (But remove the seeds.) Cosmos too, though not quite as tasty. Certainly Nasturtiums. I think Sweet Alyssum as well.

So who says you can't eat your color as veggies?

Lobelia? Well, it is edible, but chemically similar to nicotine. Be careful.

Aww this post made me smile... the OP and the picture comments! I planted my first veg garden this year and have orange gerbera daisies, some red and salmon star flowers, blue morning glories which are fining with my scarlet runners, and lots of petunias in various colours. :D And 2 massive sunflowers I'm anxiously waiting to see bloom! Yayy for summer!

Love that patch of zinnias! I do see some squash and corn in there. I bet you have lots of bees and butterflies and bouquets for the kitchen table. :-)
