Can't see them well enough to ID. Several possibilities. Could be billbugs, maybe stink bugs, maybe 10 or 12 other things and some of them are good guys..

Is that all of them or are there many more? Are they on all the corn plants? If that is all you have found or only have a small patch of corn then just pick them off and squish them. Otherwise we really need a better pic of the bug itself. Take one and put it on a sheet of paper for a pic.

I agree with Dave; while the larger bugs are difficult to identify, their proximity to aphids (the smaller bugs) could mean that they are beneficial predators. Ladybug larvae is one possibility. Probably worth a closer look.

Earwigs. They have a nasty habit of eating young vegitation but leave corn leaves/ears alone. Worst part will be when you open your ears of corn and they spill out (so do it outside). Seven dust works well I think

Sorry but no way are those earwigs. That don't have the earwig shaped body nor length and you can clearly see the 2 legs on the side of one body. Plus there are no holes in the leaves.

Thanks everyone, my first thought was earwigs too, but they seemed just slightly different, its really hard to get a good shot of them because they're way down in the stalks with none up high to easily grab or take a photo of. They seem to be in most of the stalks. I try to get a better pic tomorrow to post.

Ok, so I got a better picture today - if you know what it is and, even better, what I should do about them it would be much appreciated. My corn is starting to grow out tassels so I really don't want these guys ruining it. Also it is of note that simply picking them off isn't an option - they're way down in the narrow stalk where I can't reach.

Now that looks like an earwig. Try spraying them with insecticidal soap.

All the rain is forcing earwigs upward this year, and I'm finding them in unlikely places. They hate soap spray, but so do some plants so be careful -- the spray can do more damage than earwigs, which make a mess but do minimal damage to plants. When I find a bunch of earwigs I call in the chickens. If I brush the earwigs to the ground, the chickens like to eat them.

if only I had chickens lol

Well I will try either the insecticidal soap or some diatomaceous earth, I just don't want my corn ruined!
