This is my first year growing Oriental Express Cukes and I'm not sure how big they are supposed to be before picking. The packet says 12-14" but the odd thing about these is that they are ripening up in a strange way. The tops of all of them are skinnier than the bottoms and it makes it hard to tell when it's ripe. On the package it shows a smooth skin but I'm still having crinkly skin, it hasn't smoothed out. Does this mean I should leave them on there longer? I don't want to wait til they are over-ripe before picking and losing flavor quality. Any help would be great! Thanks!
