Use the tops in salads. Plant each seed one inch deep next time. Radish seeds shouldn't be so tiny you can't see them, they're round and reddish color.

Radish seeds aren't that small. Generally 1/16th-1/12 inch. Most people can certainly see and handle them just fine to plant individually...

Weicker, unless the radish package with the huge picture of radishes and large block lettering "Radishes" was a figment of my imagination, yup I planted radishes. I was being a little sarcastic when I said how small they were, but they are very small seeds; certainly not like planting beans. I think I will just dig them out and replant the correct way.

"Not like planting beans" You got that right! The important thing is you learned. Every gardener learns different things from experience. It's easy to read a lot of information, but you have to make the mistake yourself to truly learn.

Well before you make another mistake, I'd think twice about replanting radishes now. They don't do well in heat.

Might also be N levels in the soil. roots & fruits don't produce much else besides leaves with lots of nitrogen.

Agree with Rodney, I'd wait to replant radishes. My schedule (which by no means is the be-all-end-all Gospel of planting dates, just a handy guideline) says that for your fall crop, 2 to 4 weeks before average first frost.

Okay, even though our July forecast seems to be in the 60s &70s. Wondering how hot of a summer we will end up getting this year. I prefer it cooler though than hot. So maybe wait til September to plant if I want to replant? Thanks all. Lesson learned I guess.

If you are in the 60's and 70's for the month, I'd say go ahead and plant. I figured Milwaukee would be hot and muggy in the summer time, but those temps would be good for all manner of cool season veggies including radishes. Plus, they are so quick that if it did get too hot for them in the 30ish days they take to grow, oh well, plant some more in September, nothing to lose really.

Too late for radishes - they like shorter days. Wait until September or next March-April
