Gophers Attacking Pumpkins!

Quintuga

Nothing worked on our gopher problem, until my husband began injecting bait pellets of "Gopher Getter" into their tunnels with an applicator. At last, we started salvaging our backyard.

But, my husband avoided dropping the poison in tunnels beneath our pumpkin patch. He was afraid the poison could be absorbed by the root system, and go into the pumpkins.

Now to our dismay, our pumpkin patch has become a gopher haven. The rest of the yard may be cured, but the gophers are quite happy staying in "pumpkin land", eating up our pumpkins the minute they start to turn orange.

I wish we could just poison the tunnels under the patch. But would that poison our pumpkins in the process? Does anyone know?
