Beetles in corn silks

Treated my corn with a corn oil/BTK mix. No ear worms seen. However, I am seeing 6 - 12 small jet black beetles in the silks. No clear harm except the ears are smallish. Any thoughts?

Do I need to treat?

Scott

Probably flea beetles, which don't do all that much harm unless they are in big numbers.

Hi Joe

Don't think they are flea beetles - a bit big and they don't jump. They walk and relatively slowly.
