Eggplant--flower to fruit time?

My eggplants have just started flowering. They're just regulart Burpee eggplants, I don't even think they have a name. Does anyone have any idea how long it takes for them to form mature fruits from the time they flower? Thanks.

Not familiar with Burpee eggplants, but I guess they're the standard American type. I only grow Japanese and Chinese types, the ones that are elongated. They seem to be ready to pick in less than 2 weeks from flowering here in SC. Not sure if that's of any help. But the time is going to depend on variety and temperature mostly. Dave

Thanks for that. That gives me a general time frame anyway. Two weeks isn't so bad. :)

Mine are plain ole regular eggplant as well. Although I do not know if they came from Burpee (bought as seedlings).

See the following post for a pictorial "tale of our first eggplant from bud to veggie". (near the bottom of the page) We harvested it at 18 days on 7/16. It was about 4-5" long just over 9 ounces. We probably should have waited longer to harvest. http://forums2.gardenweb.com/forums/load/cornucop/msg0707132818965.html
