Speeding up peppers and eggplant....

Hey all -

My eggplants and peppers were a late addition to the garden - but with the heat we're having now - I think they may have shot.

What can I do to ensure they have everything they need to go as far as they can? The peppers are in a spot that was given about 6' composted horse manure, then had a crop of carrots and beets........

Added in a 3-2-2 vegan organic fertilizer when I put the transplants in....

Eggplant - same original condition, a crop of lettuce and arugula, but added just a small dusting of the 322.

Forgot about the epsom salts in the hole... is it too late to water them with epsom salt water? Or should I wait on them using up the fert first?

Any suggestions (atural not chem)to get these guy to produce before the year is over for them is appreciated.
