how long do bush beans produce for?

I've been picking my yellow wax and green bush beans for about 4 weeks now. They continue to produce a lot. How long can I expect them to produce for? Is it worth putting in seeds for a second round or is it too late? Thanks!

RE: how long do bush beans produce for?

Usually beans taper off before 4 weeks and the beans become more curved and knotty.

If you plant some more, tthe last week of July is about the cut off point.

It will all depend on the variety of course and to a degree, on the weather too. But as a general guide, 3-4 weeks as Wayne said. Then they taper off fairly quickly. But yes you have time for a fall crop if you don't wait too long to plant them.

Thanks for the info, I asked just in time! I will re-plant this week. The varieties I have now are provider snap beans and brittle wax bean. Is it OK to re-plant in the same spot?
