Stink bug trap crop

Interesting observation. I fight an annual war these days to keep stink bugs off my sweet corn. I grew fava beans for the first time this year. Just 3 short rows of the beans. Interestingly, there are way more stink bugs on the favas than the corn which are next to each other.

Will see what happens as the stink bug season really gets going.

Early reports are that these guys are voracious now that they've hit California. Favas are among the crops hit there earlier this summer.

I have sunflowers as sentinels and have seen nada marmorated stink bugs. Cleome is supposed to be good, too.
