Rooting the Bitter Melon cuttings.

In order to multiply the plants by rooting the cuttings I set few cuttings in water.Interestingly enough it did work out.Cuttings set the roots in about 15 days.Two of them are already planted and growing well with other plants germinated from seeds.This way if all the seeds did not germinate then we can root the cuttings taken from growing plant at a later date for planting.Still it remains to be seen the growth pattern of the planted root cuttings.

| chaman Will the plant survive your winter? I've read that the seeds are very slow to germinate, so if you can keep it alive, you might not have to worry about germination next year. |

anney I will plant one rooted cutting in the pot .If it grows well then I will keep it in the sun room during winter to see if it can survive. Mean while I have rooted two more cuttings of Bitter Melon plant. I am posting the pic. these two rooted cuttings.
