I had planted 1 Mr. Potato variety potatoe in late May, however my pumpkin vines overtook the entire yard/garden and smothered the potato plant. It doesn't appear that any foliage is left at all, it has all since died back. I assume I should go ahead and dig it up? Most likely not much will be there right? But it's not going to grow without any foliage, right?

I would dig it up and look around for potatoes. Hopefully you will find some!

Welp, least there was something! I'll try potato again next year, this time without smothering pumpkin vines ;)
