I'm from Saskatchewan, and I've never even heard of that variety! Is it short season? Where'd you get the seeds? Hope you have many more on the vine.

howelbama, if it's not hard enough to tell when a watermelon's ripe, COS are even harder because they are a white fleshed watermelon. I believe it was about ripe, but unfortunately this one wasn't very sweet. The container they were in has a few issues. A few years ago I grew a large one that was very sweet.

Donna, I don't remember where I got the seeds but, yes they are early, about 80 days. I read about them in Amy Goldman's book. Just do a search, the seeds are fairly widely available. Yes, I have 2 more on the vine and I think I'll wait a couple of weeks before I touch another one.
