My Pontiac Red Potatoes were four foot tall and now they are falling with no leaves and yellow stems. I know it is time to dig them but I was wondering if I left them alone would the potatoes still grow and get bigger or are they done growing? Right now my biggest one is the size of a base ball. Thanks for your help...JOHN

RE: potatoes

If they're yellow and not brown-dead, you can leave them a few more weeks.

RE: potatoes

i agree, leave the stems until brown and brittle. then dig them up. mine are doing the same thing right now.
