Whiteflies and aphids on pumpkin plants

I have made the decision to nuke my pumpkin plants I have a serious infestation of whiteflies and aphids, bottom of leaves coated on some of the plants and they are spreading to others. My question is will this kill the young plants none are to the point of blooming yet, they are about three and half weeks old, I do have a few that are older that are blooming a little over a month old, these are the ones that are covered the younger plants though are infested as well. I have never had to use pesticides before, but this is also my first year with pumpkins and I am more concerned with getting pumpkins than I am with using pesticide. I may have time to start over but I need to know if I can stop this now and still save the plants. Thanks.
