Fruit set on watermelon and pumpkin

I know I was a little late planting but I put out watermelon and pumpkin seeds the first week of June. Direct sew and they came up in about a week. They grew nice and strong, flowered a lot but not a single fruit set. I know I have male flowers and I'm nearly certain that I've seen female flowers. And I know I have enough to not be 100% male. There are maybe 30 of each filling a 15x25. Shouldn't I be seeing fruit 2 months into active growth? Oh and I know I have pollinators. They were all over my sunflowers and I have been trying to establish a beehive all summer. (which is taking off nicely)

What gives? I'm zone 10, Florida, Naples...30 minutes from coast (plenty of water this summer)

RE: Fruit set on watermelon and pumpkin

I grew Moon and Stars last year and thought the same thing then at about 60 days or so it started to set fruit I had a great crop most reaching 25- 30 lbs. I'm in zone 5 remember water melons like it hot and not much water if they get to much they won't have much flavor.

I have plenty of hot. Most days are close to reaching 100. I thought the excess water was closer to harvest. I would love to even see a baseball size fruit at this point. I guess I'll keep waiting. Thanks!
