So I have been waiting for weeks for this tomato to turn red it was big and looked really juicy. All of the tomatoes have started turning I wanted them to get deep red. I went out this morning to look at it and something had gotten to it. I was so mad I couldn't see straight lol. Has this ever happened to anyone else?

Of course.. It happens to most people. In the future pick at color break, when they first start to show color, and ripen up inside. The critters know a ripe fruit as well as you do.

Common happening as all the discussions about this issue over on the Growing Tomatoes forum show.

It is exactly why fruit are never left, or should never be left to fully ripen on the vine, but should be picked at color break and taken inside as most experienced gardeners do. You gain nothing by leaving it on the vine and the potential losses are great.

I never had this problem before but I have moved so now I have the problem they Dietrich the cherry yellow pears at all. They also ate an unripe one too but I will take the ones that are turning off. Thanks for the advice
