| I got seeds from my mom this year and then saw them again in a local feed/seed store. so they must grow here.
per my mom they grow like any other green, you just cut the tops back and they keep producing all season.
Is it safe to assume that they would be planted at the same time as say collards, turnip here in GA?

Plant like you would turnips, kale, mustard. Flavor is similar to a smooth leaf kale. Used to grow it for winter hog pasture but it quite edible for humans also.

| Seems to be more of a common crop in the far north. Tends to bolt quickly in the heat of the south for us so best harvested young and tender and planted in cooler weather. Dave |

| From middle Georgia. We grow them quite regular here. But must be planted early and harvested young. Cook like any of the green family. Also can be cooked (mixed) with the turnip or rutabaga green. Taste great. |
