| I have attached a picture of a Cucumber leaf that seems to a fungal disease. All of the mature leaves look like this only worse today. Can anyone identify this and recommend a treatment?

| Cucumber Mosaic Virus? |
| Could be downy mildew. I know, it doesn't look a bit like mildew, but I had something very similar and when I sent it off they said downy mildew. |
| Look under the leaves and see if the yellow splotches on top are dark and wet-looking on the flip side. That would be Eastern downy mildew, a bugger in the southeast in late summer. Nothing to be done except pray for dry weather. |

| Downy Mildew.... been very active on the east coast this year really nothing over the counter will work very well// |
| My cuke leaves (starting with the slicers, Bush Champion, and moving to the picklers) look similar, but more tan spots than yellow. I will have to check underneath. I know the crookneck squash has powdery mildew (white) on some leaves. Can it be arrested by chopping off infected foliage (and not composting it), then spraying with copper? Or do you have to pull the plant(s)? |

| Yes, it's Downey Mildew...it killed all of my cucumbers last month here in North Carolina. It spreads like wildfire and nothing stops it. :-( |

| Yes, I have it on my cucumbers. I was able to harvest only 2. The leaves are dying one by one. How disappointing. Does anyone know the cause of this? :( |
| Doesn't look like there's much you can do if the leaves are already dying. I'm pulling my Bush Champions today, and going to try spraying the Picklebush. Little Leaf seems to be resistant. Cornell says it grows in different conditions than powdery mildew, but I've got that on the crookneck squash (may pull that too, it's shading my eggplant). |
