Pinch off luffa blossoms for production?

I live in zone 5/6. I planted luffas this spring, and I have several of the gourds growing out on the vine now.

I also have noticed a flush of fresh blossoms over the last few days.

So question.. Should I pinch off luffa blossoms now to help encourage growth to the gourds already growing on the vine? Or will that mess the vines up?

I know I have at least another 6 weeks till first hard frost.

You can if you wish. It won't hurt anything if you do other than maybe lose a few small ones that might develop from those blooms. Personally I have never found bloom removal to have much effect on existing growth. It usually just causes more blooms. So I tend to just let nature takes its course.

You might ask over on the Gourds forum here for more info specific on gourd growing. They may have more experience.
