Another pic

Is this just a single instant ? I think maybe a bird pecked at it.

I found 3 tomatoes like this so far. I was wondering if a bird did this too? I did see a few in other people's garden plots. I opened one tomato up and found no insects. But I also did see flea beetles. They are on the leaves only though. I am going to spray some soap on the flea beetles. Could flea beetles do that much damage? Thanks for your help :)!

I think your tomatoes are just split.

Could be some feeding damage by army worms or some other small caterpillar. I sometimes find those, sometimes with occupant.

Are the insides eaten out completely, or just a small surface hole?

CaraRose-I dissected one of the tomatoes and there are no tunnels just a shallow hole on the outside. We have had some seriously hot days. Could it just be catface or splitting of some sort?
