I'm going to have an interesting fall garden....

I got my seed out of the fridge, planning to plant last week. It started raining so I just put them all in a plastic bag and left them out on the table.

My playful cat found the bag while I was at work. He had scattered the seed all over the kitchen! My only choice was to use my Dustbuster.

I had several different types of turnip, mustard, spinach and radishes. I'm not separating all of those tiny seeds!

I just sowed them all together and I'm hoping for the best!

Oh my, that WILL be interesting. Cats, ya gotta love 'em.
I planted turnips and spinach last Saturday - I'm in the Upstate. I thought the deluge of rain may have washed away my seeds but all is well and I have sprouts.
First time for these crops...

Here's hoping we both have a decent harvest.

The good news is radishes and spinach have pretty distinctive seedlings so you can thin/transplant accordingly. With the Brassicas there is no way to tell them apart, and I seem to mix mine up every year!

It may have been a blessing in disguise! I got a great stand of spinach!

It is usually hard to get spinach started here but I'm guessing that since the radishes broke up the soil it helped the spinach break through. The other greens are growing great also.

The radishes are almost ready, I've been picking a few and they are spaced pretty good so it will be a help with thinning.
