Carolina Cucumber: planted 7/8/12 picked first fruit last wee

Zone 8, Dallas Tx, I was late but planted these (carolina cucumber) on 7/8/12 any way. Picked the first cucumbers last week. Other things I planted around that time (between 7/1/12 and 7/18/12 were: Waltham butternut squash, Acorn squash, hami melon, round gourd (tinda), armenian cucumber, Minesota Midgetmelon,delicata sugar leaf squashSanta Clause Melon. They all have fruit set. So, just wanted to let every body know that in this zone planting this late (at least this year) will still give nice fruit.
