so my kids and i went a little seed-happy in the spring and this pea plant started growing back in may... i added a trellis at some point because it was going to take over a small tree i had just planted... i have no idea what kind of pea it is, i've never grown peas before, and it seems to be taking FOREVER... flowers appeared about three weeks ago and last week these little round marble-like guys were there when the flowers fell off. some of them are turning brown. there are a TON of them. are these going to grow into peas? or am i wasting my time watering them, maybe they were never properly pollinated? any advice, ideas would be most appreciated!

I think by their nature, peas always have pods (also according to Wiki). I don't know what kind of plant this is.

If it's a morning glory, it'll try to take over. I'd get rid of those seeds.

Looks like a bindweed to me, aka Morning glory. Get rid of it asap as it's a hazard.

Unless you bump right up next to some agricultural land that's planting crops it's going to annoy you more-so than the environment at this point. MG's are invasive in NC (the fern-leaf type more-so), but given how already flooded the area is with MG seed the most "harm" will happen to your garden via self-seeding plants everywhere. Some people tolerate and expect it, though, so it's not a big deal. I'd try to keep it away from any fencing or trees it could climb, too. It looks neat, but creates a lot of extra work the next season.
