Pine sawdust/shavings

I just had two large pine stumps ground out, and now I have a good pile of the sawdust. I mixed some of it in my compost pile layering it with dirt. I plan on adding 13-13-13 to that and watering it down. Is this going to work for my vegetable garden in the spring? That will be around March for my area. Thanks for any and all comments.

I use huge amounts of chipped pine, with some fertilizer added to help it decay faster, and I am very pleased with the results. The fertilizer really is important in my system to get decay over a few months. If I am using the pine as a mulch, I do not add any additional fertilizer.

Using 13-0-0 would be best. Sawdust will have plenty P and K.
