German Red Garlic, no color

Last year I planted German Red Garlic. All of it has been harvested already, and I just realized that none of the bulbs look like the bulbs I used for planting. The garlic I had ordered was German Red, and each bulb had a reddish color to it. The red is missing on the bulbs I harvested.

Any ideas?

I grow 12 kinds and every year the cloves look different.

I've grown German Red for about 6 years and it always looks different each year I harvest it. In fact, this is the first year that I've seen red streaks on it.
