Is this powdery mildew or just the natural color of my organic pumpkin plant leaves?

Looks like normal silvering of the leaves.
That said, it's a wee bit late in the season to expect to harvest any pumpkins.

True, it's just a test planting for next year. All my pumpkin plants had powdery mildew and then shriveled and died, possibly also from squash vine borers.

They become very large plants which require lots of water. Mulch will help conserve what's applied.

Next year I may plant after Father's Day to avoid the Squash Borers.

I tried that this year! got lots of flowers never got any squash. and I still had bores. but I did get pumpkins! I really don't know about next year. the only squash I got was from the farmers market.

BTW, what is silvering? Is it bad? Should I buy hair dye for my pumpkin leaves? And wrinkle cream?

Silvering is just a silvery-colored pattern that appears on the leaf veins of some types/varieties of squash (as you can see in your pic). It's a natural leaf variation. You see it a lot on zucchini.

Sneed, my DH is a wood carver and the finish they use for their furniture is a "Silvery Weathered" finish. Kind of like our hair! ;) Nancy
