I have a question.

I planted lemon cucumber plants and then some small green ones from seed. The seed was a few years old.

The plants are growing right next to each other. My DH loves the lemon cukes and I've been sharing them with the neighbors.

But I noticed that he wasn't eating the green ones and he said it was because they tasted like cat p!ss. I don't think they do. And they are growing in a wire enclosure and I don't think a cat would bother trying to get in there when there is so many other places to go.

Is he crazy or what? Is it because the seeds are old? And there was a wild butterfly weed growing in there with them that I didn't notice, could that cause a funny taste?
